The Assistant Branch Manager position is responsible for reviewing, and funding loan packages to ensure all aspects of the underwriting process have been properly completed. Funding loans require each person to adhere to company policies and guidelines. The Assistant Branch Manager ensures that stipulations and documentation meet buying criteria. Marketing to car dealerships both on phone and in person is also an important aspect of his or her job duties.

Other duties include supervising staff, interacting with dealers, customers, field representatives, and a variety of other outside entities. The successful candidate provides a superior level of customer service knowledge and promotes that culture through training, guidance and staff motivation. This position also acts as a liaison between dealers, customers, and staff.

Basic Responsibilities

  • Review all facets of the loan process for compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Review credit reports, calculate income, examine book valuations, negotiate with dealers
  • Ensure stipulations and documentation are in order and are valid
  • Mentor, train, coach, develop and motivate staff
  • Communicate with dealers and branch team
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships
  • Stay abreast of competing markets
  • Knowledgeable about all loan processing and funding applications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Have some experience reading credit reports
  • Attention to detail and work well in fast paced environment
  • Some knowledge of industry marketing and sales techniques
  • Adapt to a fast paced, high energy work environment. leadership experience is a PLUS
  • organizational skills
  • have a command of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingual Spanish is a PLUS
  • 2 year college or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Compensation: DOE
